Our tour manager will welcome you at Dibrugarh airport and transfer you to the hotel in Tinsukia (1-hour drive). Overnight.
Post breakfast, move to Roing, the headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley. The Mishmi Hills is a southward extension of the Great Himalayan Mountain Range – its northern and eastern reaches touching China. The Mishimi Hills can be divided into two large sections: The flood plains of the tributaries of the Brahmaputra rivers and Arunachal Himalayas and the maximum altitude is 9,000 feet MSL. This Mishimi Hills falls under two Dibang Vally districts namely Lower Dibang Valley and Upper Dibang Valley. Snow-capped peaks, turbulent rivers, deep valleys, and an abundance of rich flora & fauna are the main features of the district. This area supports around 675 species of Birds. It is, perhaps, one of the least explored birding areas in all of Asia and many new species await discovery here. Overnight stay in Roing.
On this day we will start Birding towards the Mayodiya Pass area. Many Himalayan foothill species can be found in this area. Key birds include Black Eagle, White-browed Piculet, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Red-headed Trogon etc. By evening back to Roing for an overnight stay.
Move to Hunli. On the way, try to spot the high-altitude Sclater’s Monal near Mayodiya Pass. Overnight stay in Hunli in Govt IB.
On this day we will do Birding near Hunli i.e. Ithun River Bridge. The whole day in Hunli and nearby. Evening back to Govt IB and overnight stay.
Back to Roing and overnight stay.
In the morning to Kaziranga National Park situated in Central Assam. Home to the Great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, Kaziranga National Park is one of the best national parks in the world. With an area of 860 sq. km (after recent additions) of low-lying grasslands, shallow waterbodies & woodlands this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Assam. Kaziranga is excellent for mammal viewing. The park recently celebrated 100 years of its protected area status. Till now, 490 species (25 of them globally threatened) of Birds have been recorded in Kaziranga NP. Overnight in Kaziranga NP.
Early morning Elephant safari. Post lunch Jeep safari in Western range. Overnight.
Morning Jeep safari in Central range. Post lunch Jeep safari in Eastern range. Overnight.
Morning directly moves to Guwahati Airport for onward journey.
