Namdapha National Park
It is a hotspot of biodiversity and is also the third-largest park in India. The wildlife park, located in the foothills of Himalayas, spans over a region of 862 sq. km in East Kameng District of the state. Due to a notable population of tigers, the park was declared a tiger reserve in 2002. The park is the abode of at least a total of 40 mammal species including big cats like Tiger, Leopard, and Clouded Leopard and other species like Elephant, Barking Deer, and Jackal. Besides, hundreds of exotic migratory and resident birds can also be spotted at Pakhui. You can enjoy wildlife safaris, nature walks, and tribal programs here.
