Collections of many numbers of waterfalls, Caves, Living Root Bridges, Lakes etc – Cherrapunji and Mawllynnong are among the Wettest land on Earth. During British rule, Meghalaya was dubbed the “Scotland of the East” and made Shillong the capital of colonial Assam.

Day 01: Guwahati to Shillong ( 4 hrs Approx)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and move to Shillong. On the way visit Barapani Lake and Wards Lake. Evening walk around in the beautiful Center Point area.
Overnight.
Day 02: Day Trip to Jowai ( 2 hrs).
After breakfast move to Jowai.
En route visit Laitlum Canyon.
Attractions: Krangsuri falls and Phee Phee Water Falls. Back to Shillong.
Overnight.
Day 03: Shillong to Dawki and Mawlynnong ( 3 hrs)
Morning move to Dawki and Mawlynnong
Attractions: Dawki ( India Bangladesh Border) , Umgot River , Mawlynnong Village ( Asia’s Cleanest Village , Living Root Bridge , Old Church.
Overnight.
Day 04: Mawlynnong to Cherrapunjeee
Local sightseeing in Cheerrapunjee. Attractions: Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Danthlen Falls, Cascade Waterfall etc .

Day 05: At Cherrapunjeee
Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek.
Overnight.
Day 06: Cheerrapunjee to Guwahati
Cheerrapunjee to Guwahati, en route visit Elephant Fall, Shillong Peak, Mawphlang Sacred Grove. ( 5 hrs without any stop).

Travel Tips
When travel to North-East India, guests are requested to follow the below mentioned points for hassle free journey.
- Always carry a small torchlight, umbrella in your bag. If you do journey during summer umbrella is must.
- Bring Sturdy comfortable shoes, Warm jackets during winter and cotton T shirts or shirts during Summer.
- Bring Toiletries, Insect repellent, Sunscreen.
- Note that Star category hotels are generally available mainly in Guwahati, Shillong. The remaining destinations, mainly remote ones, mostly have basic accommodations but neat and clean.
- For a comfort long distance journey, guests are requested to avail transportation by SUV cars such as Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Scorpio, Bolero etc.
- Changing foreign currencies are not mainly problem in Guwahati, Shillong or in some big towns. But maximum destinations do not have this facility so carry a number of Indian cash with you.
For a foreign traveller, always carry your documents such as Visa etc with you anytime.
